疗愈的鹿角蕨“上板”

在你刚接触鹿角蕨种植,你一定会听到“上板”两个字。

何谓上板,字面上来看,就是把鹿角蕨上到木板上。

把鹿角蕨放到喜欢的木板上,用泡湿的水苔把根系包覆起来,再用钓鱼线打结来回缠绕水台并用铁定固定,一个漂亮的装饰植物就产生了。

Terence林勇进分享说,在他种植鹿角蕨的过程中,最大的挑战就是上板。

上板前后都要小心

有些鹿角蕨比较大棵或是孢子叶比较长,需要专心和有耐心的上板以免刮伤叶子。上板前需要想想鹿角蕨长大后的形态来决定上板的位置和介质的形状。

即便成功上板,也切莫沾沾自喜哦!他有一次小心翼翼上板后,得意忘形不小心把卷卷的手挂断了。经过那次教训后,他现在每次捧鹿角蕨都格外小心。

虽然上板过程备具挑战,但他却非常享受这疗愈过程!

使用坚固的洞洞板或铁网可以更自由的摆放鹿角蕨。

调整植物灯避“追光”

另外,在阳台种植鹿角蕨时,会发现孢子叶有“追光”的问题,也就是叶子会朝光的方向生长,原本你调整好的均衡心态就会“走形”。为了解决这问题,他把植物灯安置在比较中间的位置尽可能减少追光的问题。

当你沉迷在“养鹿”过程中时,一定要适时提醒自己不要过度沉迷,克制自己过分的购买欲望啊!

“我常在网路上看到自己没有的品种总想买一棵收藏,这种无止境的欲望很伤钱包。后来有一位前辈劝我说鹿角蕨的品种数不清,尽量理性地选购自己喜欢的就够了。”

来来来!给新手的建议:

对于新手,他建议刚开始可以尝试难度低和成长快的鹿角蕨,例如二叉和女王鹿角蕨。等摸透它们的习性后,可以尝试难度比较高的鹿角蕨。

“我觉得比较难照顾的品种则是非猴(Platycerium Madagascariense)和三角鹿角蕨(Platycerium Stemaria)。但也有很多鹿友把这些品种照顾得很美。”

原产非洲的三角鹿角蕨有着朝上左右对称的营养叶和宽短的孢子叶。

他也建议买培植而不是野生采集的鹿角蕨。除了保育原因之外,培植鹿角蕨日后的适应能力比较好,昆虫也比较少。

“叶面的绒毛虽然很可爱,但尽量不要去触摸,因为这是他们的保护层而且会破坏美感。”

鹿角蕨页面上毛茸茸的白毛可以帮助抓取空气中的水份和避免强光的伤害。

“找到合适的鹿角蕨可以尝试自己上板。除了解压,还可以让我们以另一个角度用心看待身边的植物。”

阳台鹿角蕨 怎么养?

对鹿角蕨感到陌生而不敢养?

对许多人来说,种植鹿角蕨并非“普及”的一件事,即便心动想要开始“养鹿”之旅,但又担心自己不小心“养死”了。

别担心,你还是可以在社交媒体上找到一些“鹿友”,他们都很乐意且耐心地授招。

在其他鹿友指导下慢慢展开自己“养鹿”之旅的Terence林勇进,绝对就是其中一位很乐意分享的鹿友。

办公时还能有精心布置的绿色空间相伴,解压!

每周浇水1-2次

“由于我的鹿角蕨收藏没有很多,所以不需要太多时间照顾。对我来说,鹿角蕨算是懒人植物吧!”

他通常会花1小时来“上板”,平时一星期也只要浇水1至2次。

和大部分植物一样,鹿角蕨要茁壮成长,少不了光照、水分、介质和空气流通的环境,因此在种植鹿角蕨之前,一定要先评估和创造环境。

通风和明亮散射光

鹿角蕨需要通风的环境和明亮的散射光,也有一部分像亚猴鹿角蕨(Platycerium Ridleyi)的品种可以接受阳光直射,让营养叶的纹路更加鲜明美丽。

由于林勇进住家的阳台只有散射光,所以他也安装了一些自然光色的植物灯,帮助他们进行光合作用。

鹿角蕨普遍使用的介质是水苔,对于一些比较大棵的鹿角蕨,可以掺杂一些椰块,来帮助透气和排水。

养植物需做足功课!确保充足的光照、排水等等都是养护植物的关键。

确保根部吸收水分

而浇水方面,只又两种,那就是洒水和浸泡,要确保淋透水苔,方能让根部吸收到水分。由于住在公寓,担心水流太多会影响到楼下住户,他会将鹿角蕨拿到浴室浇水,等水流干了之后再挂回墙上。

多数的公寓阳台也“挡雨”,少了雨水的天然营养,因此他在浴室安装了一个过滤器,来提高水的品质。

“每种鹿角蕨对水分有不同的要求。若发现介质表面干燥和叶子有稍微垂落现象时可以浇水。但要注意防止过度浇水而导致烂根。”

施肥避开根系

鹿角蕨同样需要施肥,林勇进使用的是颗粒缓释肥,不过施肥时得避开接触根系,否则会造成肥伤。每周,也会喷洒一次叶面肥。虽然他种植至今没有遇过害虫侵袭,但仍每月喷1至2次的天然防虫剂,避免害虫啃咬漂亮的鹿角蕨。

“种植者可以观察叶子是否有成长,以此来判断是否还健康。有时叶子下方会发黄,但不必太担心,这只是代谢造成。”

精心挂上“鹿角墙”。

旧叶子 别拔!

他也提醒,因为鹿角蕨有两种叶子,分别是孢子叶(Antler Fronds,俗称手)和像盾型的营养叶(Shield Fronds,俗称脸),当新的营养叶长出来时,会包覆着旧的营养叶子,所以旧的叶子枯掉或呈褐色都不需要拔出,它们会继续保护自己和导入水分。

由于公寓的高楼层有时会面对较强的大风,若担心孢子叶被折断,可以暂时将鹿角蕨收进屋子啦!

用鹿角蕨来打造阳台小雨林,
该怎么开始?

对很多人来说,种植鹿角蕨是很陌生的一种植物。

从去年10月开始种植鹿角蕨的Terence林勇进,看中的是鹿角蕨节省空间又具有艺术装饰的特质,毅然决定开启“养鹿”之旅,将自己的小阳台改造成一个“小雨林”。

精心布置的阳台,放松身心好地方!

那,要怎么开始呢?

“鹿角蕨有18个已被确认的原生种和众多的的人工交种。我的第一棵是二叉鹿角蕨(又称普通鹿角蕨,Platycerium Bifurcatum),现在已经送给父母了。”

林勇进的第一棵鹿角蕨 – 由于价格较低和养护容易,二叉鹿角蕨是很多新手的入门品种。

养鹿之旅一点也不孤单,林勇进指出,其实网络上可以找到许多养鹿的资料,而且一路上还会有志同道合的“鹿友”们不吝指导,让他更有信心不断“加码”种植更多的鹿角蕨。

注意“会长很大”的品种

他点出,其实大部分的鹿角蕨都可以在家中种植,但有些品种可能会“越种越大”,比如说皇冠鹿角蕨(Platycerium Coronarium),以及何其美鹿角蕨,因此不太适合种植在阳台。

“这两种鹿角蕨都是我想收集的品种。庆幸的是,皇冠鹿角蕨在本地比较常见,在我家附近竟然还发现了几颗呢!”

住家附近超过2米的皇冠鹿角蕨。

他建议,对于空间限制较大的阳台来说,可以考虑亚猴鹿角蕨(Platycerium Ridleyi)、爪哇鹿角蕨(Platycerium Willinckii)、圆盾鹿角蕨(Platycerium Alcicorne)与立叶鹿角蕨。

原产澳大利亚的立叶鹿角蕨,呈现长牙虎爪的形态。

向有种植经验商家购买

随着越来越多人发现到鹿角蕨的魅力,我国一些花圃也开始售卖鹿角蕨,但不是每个商家都有种植鹿角蕨的经验。

对此,他特别推荐Litigreen、The Gentle Lady和The Staghorn Lounge,不仅拥有较多的品种,商家也非常耐心分享种植贴士。

“除此以外,网路上也有鹿友售卖鹿角蕨侧芽甚至成年的母株。他们是经验丰富和友善的鹿友,购买前可以先和他们聊聊。”

不过,如果是网购可要小心了,他就曾经网购象耳鹿角蕨(Platycerium Elephantotis),结果快递送到时发现一片叶子被折断了,让他懊恼不已。

亚皇鹿角蕨 (Platycerium Mt.Kitshakood)- 亚猴和皇冠的交配品种,是很多鹿友喜欢收集的品种之一。

上板需什么工具?

买了鹿角蕨后,如果是打算自己动手“上板”,那还需要准备木板,水苔,钓鱼线,铁钉和铝线。

上板工具。

根据林勇进的经验,木板有几种类型可以选择。由于过后要浇水,建议使用防腐的木质。他喜欢使用葡萄牙软木,虽然价格比较高但比较天然美观。

“太细的钓鱼线可能会割伤手指。建议使用稍粗的钓鱼线。再准备温度湿度计,可以帮助观察温度和湿度。”

漂流木也可以用来上板。

能种些什么?

公寓不比有地住宅,通常只有一个小阳台能让人呼吸外头新鲜的空气、放松身心。若想要种些植物,也常受限于空间小。

“想要在公寓阳台打造一个私人花园,简直是天方夜谭!”

如果住在公寓的你也有这样“惋惜”的想法,来看看Terence林勇进,是如何用特别的鹿角蕨来打造自己的小天地的!

阳台宽度小于1米 也能发挥?

居住在吉隆坡一栋公寓的林勇进接受《南洋地产》访问时说,从小就在父母的熏陶中培养对植物的喜爱。但4年前搬到这新家时,看着宽度小于1米的阳台,也只能放下想要在阳台“大肆”种植的想法。

林勇进透过绿化家园放松身心。

对于多年来从事搜寻优化(SEO)工作的他,总是需要长时间接触屏幕,眼睛疲劳,更需要绿化的家园来放松身心。

去年,他从社交媒体注意到了鹿角蕨(Platycerium),这是一种蕨科附生植物,原产于非洲、亚洲、大洋洲和南美的热带与亚热带雨林中,孢子叶形犹如梅花鹿角,因此被称为鹿角蕨。

“我本身很喜欢蕨类植物。第一次偶然在网上看到皇冠鹿角蕨(Platycerium Coronarium)和亚猴鹿角蕨(Platycerium Ridleyi)。亚猴鹿角蕨的孢子叶像鹿角一样非常迷人。后来才知道马来西亚是这两个品种的原产地之一。这开启了我对鹿角蕨的好奇心和‘养鹿’之旅。”

挂着、吊着……空间多小都能种

对林勇进来说,鹿角蕨这观赏蕨类植物最适合他的一点,那就是可作悬吊式或镶挂式的室内立体布置,那即便阳台空间再小,也能挂在墙壁上、吊在天花板上,大大节省了空间的要求!

因此,从去年10月,他启动鹿角蕨阳台花园改造计划!

有着细长叶子的石松是非常独特的垂盆植物。

“养鹿”至今,林勇进的小阳台挂上了越来越多的鹿角蕨,俨然就是一个“小雨林”。

在深入研究后,他了解如何通过“板植”方式来种植,也就是将鹿角蕨“上板”,来获取更多的空间。

巧思装饰阳台

如何打造?很简单,发挥你无穷的创意就好了!利用鹿角蕨点缀枯燥的墙面,除了挂在墙上,也可以利用下垂式的植物(例如石松)来创造一个绿植角落。

同时,还可以选择外观比较天然的软木或碳化木,为鹿角蕨上板,以增加美感和欣赏价值。另外,采用透明的鱼线也没有那么明显。

除了植物,也可以加入其他元素来装饰阳台,例如小喷泉,假动物和灯饰。

有精心栽种的绿植陪伴工作,有助舒缓疲劳。

上板过程超疗愈

“每天早上,我会坐在阳台细细品尝着手上的咖啡,一边欣赏植物。这种氛围让人舒心,很满足!天气凉爽的时候,喜歡和老婆在阳台听着优雅的音乐,来一杯酒,欣赏夜景和闲聊。”

很多玩家热爱的皮陈鹿角蕨(Platycerium Pewchan)- 银鹿和爪哇的交配种。

“替鹿角蕨上板的过程很疗愈。由于野生的鹿角蕨长在树上,上板除了美观之外还可以帮他们以自然的方式生长。”

刚开始时,他购买已经上板的鹿角蕨或请其他“鹿友”上板,后来再自己动手,更有满满的成就感!

即便没有阳台,比如说有地住宅、咖啡厅或办公室,鹿角蕨也是一个非常好的装饰绿植,可以挂在门口或有明亮散射光的窗边,甚至树上。

以孢子叶尾端卷卷而闻名的冯诗淇鹿角蕨,是马来西亚人冯先生培植的品种,扬名海外。
