老厝变身温馨轻工业宅

工作室里的LOFT风情,
上班也能成为一种期待!

半世纪的老房子摇身一变,以Loft风定调成为员工们的工作室。

在灵市白沙罗金(Damansara Kim)老街区里转一圈不难发现这一间缀满鸟巢蕨的双层排屋,除了那绿油油的外观,推拉式铁门后还藏着内里乾坤。

改造后,大门外在绿意盎然的鸟巢蕨衬托下,反而带出一种让人惊艳的冲突美感,也反映出设计师想要的生活态度。

每日汲汲营营为生活打拼的你,心目中是否也有理想中的办公空间呢?如何做到 与众不同,摒弃让人觉得疏离的传统隔间设计,以及令人无法放松的冰冷灯光?

对这家建筑事务所Fei Architect来说,他们做到了。站在水泥墙外,就闻到了丛林的气息与绿油油的凉意。

2019年,Fei Architect创办人林绅飞才在八打灵再也的白沙罗金买下了这间约有46年屋龄的双层排屋,再改造成工作室,以打造出更适合的工作需求又舒适自在的环境。

其实,住宅改造成工作室已经不是新鲜事了,但要做出“与众不同”却很难得,独特的外观设计,与周遭的房子形成了鲜明的对比,

这间房子内外部都是很典型的70年代的房型格局,采光通风很不理想,空间尺度也处处捉襟见肘,这样的空间设计就很难与80、90年代的生活方式产生共鸣。

工业感的工作室,展现独特的时尚品味。旁有一个秘密小道,往上走便是4间供租客居住的空间。

巧妙利用空间优势

对于林绅飞来说,空间的重新规划,都需要细细考量用途和需求,以打造细节满满的新型态、更贴近当代的审美、生活和工作需求的空间。

他并没追求特定的设计风格,也不刻意去做掩饰或修饰,尽可能让它返璞归真。

即使可占用的面积不大,尽可能保留原来不修边幅的天花板、裸露的横梁和工业风为标志,底层的前厅、厨房和储藏室改成开放式的工作室,巧妙的利用每一个空间优势。

惟,这种老房子有4个地方是一定要处理的,包括水管、电、门窗和扩建。

水泥墙内的暖暖风

林绅飞觉得,开放式的工作空间最大的好处便是窗外的自然光可在各个角落蔓延,因为旧式双层排屋空气不流通,容易累积闷气,所以也在每个空间都安装了抽风机,也将前后门都换成了大面积的拉闸门。

时尚的灰色调也是林绅飞工作室的特色,房子的室内外都是水泥质地的墙面和地面。天花板保留原始的管线元素,且以轨道灯、现代风灯饰作为主要光源配置,为空间形塑出工业风气息,且不影响室内空气的流通性。

干净利索的空间一眼望去,很简约大气,而且,这样的格局增强了工作场所的透明度和灵活性,也有利于职员间互相交流和学习。

将自然景观引入室内,不仅能给空间注入鲜活的生命力,也让缺乏绿地的城市生活重新与大自然接轨。

一楼改造4房出租

楼下办公,楼上出租,这里也是是专业人士和单身人士舒适的“家”。

借此机会,林绅飞在楼上区域做了重点的调整。他将原本3房1厅的格局去掉了,再重新规划出4间一房式的单间公寓,以迎合年轻一代的生活方式,每间房都有自己的卫浴间和基础设备,很符合现代人看重的“隐私”。

住房楼下就是别人的工作室,多少人能接受这样的生活环境?这方式,或许就只在林绅飞的房子里出现。万没想到的是,这4间房都成功出租了!

他打趣说道:“这样的生活环境有一个最大的好处就是,大白天有人帮你看守房子,哈哈哈!下班就把私人空间还给你。”

鸟巢蕨可净化空气

身为设计师的林绅飞,在种植方面颇有心得,这房子里植物都是他一人在照料。

他说,鸟巢蕨是观赏性较高的植物,而且又能净化空气。所以,一楼阳台上也种满了鸟巢蕨等植物,整个空间有生机勃勃的氛围 。

正因为斑驳的水泥墙,很容易给人一种刚硬冰冷的感觉,所以他便巧妙地利用大自然的“柔美”去做中和。在工作之余,能时刻欣赏户外的绿意,放松心情。

除此之外,林绅飞也在室内安装了较柔和的照明,这样不仅能给“冰冷的水泥”注入一丝温度,同时也能营造出更加舒适的工作环境,而不是随时都处在紧绷的状态;当然,每个人都可以随自己的喜好去调整灯光的强度。

扩建的后院空间,鸟巢蕨包围的水泥墙,又是另一个壮观的入口,未来打算将它转成活动空间。

双入口概念设计

若说这里是工作室,还不如诠释为休闲惬意的工作天堂。

经过办公空间,来到会议室,狭长的空间摆放工业质感的木长桌椅,这里原本计划打造一个小型的社区图书馆,但,因为疫情而暂时搁置了。林坤飞指出,此计划还需再从长计议,希望能在局限的空间里,不影响工作的情况下看管等问题。

这还不止,好戏在后头!

会议室再往后走,你会发现每个空间都被林绅飞善用得淋漓尽致,屋后一块闲置的空间,他还打算将它转成活动空间,供创意领域的人们来办小型的活动。值得一提的是,前后门的设计是一个双入口的概念,所以设计都十分壮观。

这是林绅飞本打算要做成一个小型社区图书馆的空间,很期待他能将此想法转为现实。

员工出入要方便

灵市那么大,为何偏偏选中这旧房子来改造?

分秒必争对都市人来说,时间就是金钱。林绅飞看中的是优越的独立位置,尤其邻近各个大道,周边完善的公共设施,包括职员的停车位和可负担的饮食等都是重要的考量。

回首老屋改造过程,林绅飞觉得,最重要的就是不要给周遭的居民带来干扰,倘若无法与居民达成共识,再好的地理位置都是徒劳,所以沟通很重要。

而且,这间房子装修前已经很破旧,才得以比市价低的价格买入,然后再自己做设计,在地砖和墙面的部分,也省下了不少费用,所以房子总计装修费逾30万令吉。

老房子的改造视乎赋予的新生命,让人除了体验到现代设计的美感,还能感受到老屋岁月的痕迹。

WFH把工作台钉在墙上

2019冠状病毒病自去年爆发以来,至今仍未有终止迹象,你是居家办公(WFH)的一员吗?

在家中办公的其中一项烦恼,就是家里没有足够空间摆放你的电脑和工作资料,让居家办公变成一件苦差事。

有创意的英国公司设计了DropTop工作台,不用时是一副优美的挂画点缀家中色彩,需要办公时打开,就是一款全体收纳入墙式的工作台。

富有创意又节省空间。

基本工作台型号内置了一对24吋显示器和USB/USB-C电缆,用于充电和连接到Windows和Mac笔记本电脑。显示器下方是两个存储区域,可收藏手提电脑和文具。

这个工作台由厚桦木胶合板制成,尺寸120×60厘米,可折叠和定制铰链。
