火星盖房子,人血最划算?!

这不是一部恐怖电影,
而是真的科学研究。

近来,“移民火星”成了火热的课题,美国国家航空航天局(NASA)更已经在研究用3D打印技术,用来在火星盖房子。

新浪科技引述公众号“科研圈”报道,英国曼彻斯特大学(University of Manchester)的科学家们的一项新研究显示,使用外星球的土壤和人类的血液、汗液与泪水,能制造一种类似混凝土的建材。

在9月10日在线发表于Materials Today Bio期刊的一篇论文中,科学家们实验证明,人类血液中的血清蛋白和存在于尿液、汗液或眼泪中的尿素结合后,可以将模拟的月球或火星土壤粘合起来,制造出一种比普通混凝土强度更高的材料。

抗压强度更高

这种新材料被命名为AstroCrete,可以完美胜任地外建筑的建材。使用不同配方得出的抗压强度有差异,最高可达25 Mpa,与常见混凝土的20-32 Mpa大致相当。

如果加入尿液、汗水和眼泪排除的尿素,可以将抗压强度进一步提高300%以上,性能最好的材料的抗压强度接近40 Mpa。

研究参与者之一、来自曼彻斯特大学的 Aled Roberts博士表示:“科学家们一直在努力开发可行的技术来在火星表面生产类似混凝土的材料,但是我们却从未想到,答案可能一直在我们自己体内。”

宇航员捐血?

用牛血其实也可以,但要把牛送上去火星不太实际,科学家就想起了“就地取材”,也就是宇航员。

根据研究团队的计算,一个宇航员每周捐献血浆两次,可制成一块“标准红砖”,在为期两年的火星任务期间,6名宇航员总计可以生产超过 500 公斤的高强度 AstroCrete。

如果将它们用作砂浆,来粘合沙袋或者用风化层材料烧制成的砖块,那么可以扩建出再容纳一个宇航员的空间。

当然,尽管和捐献全血相比,捐献血浆通常允许更短的时间间隔,但是根据英国的献血指导标准,符合条件的健康人每两周可捐献一次血浆,每次捐献一袋(560ml)。

此外,还需要研究在低重力环境中持续捐献血浆的长期健康影响,以及通过实验评估在不影响宇航员健康的情况下能够提取多少血清蛋白。

NASA最近正策划一个火星基地模拟项目,为太空居住做准备。由于未来在火星上不能像在地球般一砖一瓦地砌,所以找了家名叫BIG-Bjarke的公司,打算送一台3D打印机上火星建房。

近几年来,越来越多国家政府对于3D打印房屋的政策,开始有松动迹象,愿意承认3D打印屋子的产权。

称为世界一流的“中国速度”,可能也比不上3D打印技术,只要24小时就能打印完一栋小房子。

德国首栋3D打印双层住宅

在芝加哥,当地建筑设计公司WATG与Branch Technology合力打造的“Curve Appeal”,独特的弧形,显示3D技术的无限突破潜力。

这栋Curve Appeal印证了3D打印技术不局限于四四方方的屋子。

荷兰郊外巨石屋

70岁的Elize Lutz和67岁的Harrie Dekkers称为欧洲最先住进3D打印屋子的人,而且这栋房子是100%合法合规,成了荷兰建筑界最瞩目的事件。

荷兰首对住进3D打印房子的人,成了当地最瞩目的事件之一。

这栋位于荷兰埃因霍温的小房子室内面积94平方米,外表非常具有未来感,既像是一个刚刚降落的不明飞行物,又像是一块纹理细腻的巨石,是传统建筑技术无法轻易做到的外观。

外观具未来感,纹理细腻,是传统建材技术无法达成的效果。

整栋房子由24个混凝土构件组成,这些构件在埃因霍温的一家工厂逐层打印,然后用卡车运到建筑工地安装在地基上,然后再逐步安装屋顶和窗框,只花了区区120个小时。

整体空间漂亮工整,建造过程迅速又便宜,换做传统房子的话价格翻倍!

而且,这屋子的月租只有800欧元(约3929令吉),若在当地要租一间相等大小和质量的传统平房,价格需要翻倍。

意大利 黏土打印的穹顶

Mario Cucinella Architects+WASP采用环保的3D打印技术,在意大利打造了TECLA,这个名字取自于卡尔维诺的《看不见的城市》,灵感却来自于衔泥建巢的昆虫——蜾赢。

采用当地河床的黏土,以3D打印打造了这独特的房子。

就像昆虫用大自然中的泥土当作建造巢穴的材料一样,TECLA用以3D打印的原材料全部都是当地河床的黏土。

充当“天窗”的穴口设计微妙,能一探户外景色。

这两栋连着的穹顶外形古朴之中却又有着一些微妙的未来感,既像某个古老村落又像《星球大战》的布景。

入夜的时候,从穹顶天窗观察几亿年前启程的星光,应该会是一种既古典又未来的浪漫。

因为不需要底层框架,这座建筑可以在短短200小时内完成。泥土的使用则意味着它的外壳是完全可被生物降解的,做到字面意思上的“尘归尘,土归土”。

墨西哥 全球首个3D打印村

说完了房子,现在是“整个村”!

虽然3D打印让房屋建造的成本变得前所未有地低廉,但是颇为讽刺的是,对于绝大多数最需要廉租房的低收入家庭来说,接触到高新科技却是一件非常困难的事。

非盈利组织New Story看到了3D打印技术的潜力,联同美国3D打印公司和墨西哥当地的慈善组织ÉCHALE一起,在墨西哥塔巴斯科开展了一个全新的项目。

他们的目标不是建造一栋3D打印房屋,而是建造50栋3D打印房屋!

3D打印造房的便利和低成本能惠及人民,因此开发了一个社区。

除开住宅之外,他们还会建造绿地、公园、便利设施和其他的基本设施。这也意味着:世界上第一个3D打印社区业已诞生。

3D打印的房子也讲求安全性,具备抗震和应对极端天气的能力。

因为塔巴斯克地处地震带,气候环境也多变复杂,所有的3D房屋都被建造在混凝土垫层之上,保证了房屋抗震和应对极端天气的能力。
